£30..- clear having apply'd to Us and desiring us to accept of
the Surrender of the Lease wherein a year and ¼ was to come
and declaring his Inability to hold the Same by reason of his
Poverty We have therefor accepted his Surrender And have
granted a Lease of the Premisses (excepting one Acre and
half of Land in the Occupation of Mr. William Bond< no role > ) to
Henry Sutton< no role > for 21 years from Lady day 1751 at £27..

Thomas Pearse< no role > Esqr . who holds of the Hos-
pital a House and Garden at Bully hill near Rochester
at £8..- clear Rent and £100..- Fine under a Lease for
61 years which will expire at Lady day 1767. having apply'd
to us for an Additional Term to his Lease for that the House
by reason of it's Situation on the Declivity of a Hill was
crack'd in Several Parts of the Walls and one of the Wings
in Danger of falling down We order'd a View to be taken
And found one of the Wings in a bad Condition And
apprehending that unless the same was rebuilt before the
expiration of the present Lease We should be obliged to let
the Premisses upon worse Terms We Pursuant to the Power
given to us by the General Court held the 18th. July 1739 of
renewing any Leases of the Hospital Estate sooner than
within three Years of the Expiration of the old Leases Have
granted to the said Thomas Pearse a Lease of the said
Premisses for 41 years from Michs 1750 (on his Surrendring
the present Lease) at the old Rent of £8..- clear And a
Fine of £100..

Esqr . departed this Life in September last by whose Death
this Hospital is intitled to a Freehold House in Budge
Row and a House and Lands at Southgate under the
Will of her former Husband Samuel Houblon Esqr. And
the Deeds & Writings belonging to the Premisses are deliver'd
up by her Executors for the use of the Hospital
