Order for repairing
the Rails of the
Churchyard & for a
new Burying Ground}


It being observed that the rails of the Churchyard of St. Thomas's
Parish are in a very ruinous Condition and that an additional
Burying ground in much wanted there We have Ordered the said rail
to be repaired And have desired Mr.Treasurer to enquire after Some
Convenient place for another Burying ground.

Encroachments at
Hackney }


It appearing to us that Some Encroachments have been lately made
on Some ground belonging to this Hospital at Hackney adjoyning to Land
now Mr. William Finch< no role > 's and that many Inhabitants of neigbouring house
Keep back doors into Some of the Hospital Lands to the Prejudice thereof
We have directed that all Persons Keeping Such back doors be warned to Shut
them up or agree to Pay a reasonable acknowledgment for the Same.

Benja. Barlows< no role > rent
Part remitted}


Upon application made to have the Benjamin Barlow< no role > our Tenant of Shore
House Hackney Praying to have the Sum of five pounds Part of his Rent now
in arreare remitted for Several reasons offord by him this Committee being
Satisifed of the reasonableness of that request agreed to remit him the
said sum of five Pounds.

of rent remitted}


And we have likewise remitted to Elizabeth Horsman< no role > widdow twenty
Shillings per Ann Part of her yearly rent of £10. P Ann from Lady day
1733. in regard the Same was higher rented than the neighbouring
Houses in Proportion and upon Such other reasons as she Offered to us.

Chosen Beadle }


We have Chosen Nathaniel Charles to be one of the Beadles of
this Hospital in the room of Samuel Sladen< no role > who was lately elected
Porter of the Foregate of this Hospital.

Grant to John
Page

We have agreed with John Page< no role > Butcher to grant in a Lease
of the Windmill Alehouse in Newgate Market (which was lately
Surrendred to the Hospital by Voyce Smither< no role > the last Tenent ) for
21. years from Michaelmas 1733. at the yearly rent of £25 Tax free He
is to lay out £120. in Substantiall repairs within twelve months to the
Satisfaction of the Governors.
