The Orders and Proceedings of the last General Court
were read and approved.

Subscriptions


Subscriptions being recomended by the President
to the Court towards defraying the great Charge and expence
of the Hospital the Gentlemen now present Subscribed as
followeth vizt.

Chosen Steward }


The President acquainted the Court that the occati [..]
on of calling the same was to Cheese a Steward of this
Hospital in the room of Mr James Brouse who is become
incapable of executing the said Office and the following
Persons were severally put in nomination vizt.
George Green< no role > , John Mascal< no role > , Joseph Rooke< no role > , Samuel Slater< no role >
and Jonathan Welch< no role > , and their Petitions being presented
unto this Court and were severally read praying to be appointed
Steward in the room of James Brouse, and being severally
put up, It appeared that George Green< no role > , and Jonathan Welch< no role >
had the Majority, and upon a Division the Numbers were
for Jonathan Welch< no role > , 65, and for George Green< no role > , 63, whereupon
Jonathan Welch< no role > , was declared to be duly Chosen to the said
plasee to hold the same during the pleasure of the General
Court with the usual Salary and perquisits he observing
all such rules and Orders as now are or shall be hereafter made by
this Court and the Grand Committee relating to the
said Office.
