The house that Major

St: Thomas parish in Sourthwark

in the space of Seaven years which is lately Clapsed and the House
not built by ready to Fall The Comittee after several Views of the
Premisses and many treaties with the Major have thought fitt
to accept the Surrender of the said Lease and redemise only unto
him the ground and Prmisses of & belonging to the said late burnt
Messuage In consideracon of his New building another Substantial
Brick house on part of the same ground and to incourage him thereunto
we think fitt to increase the term in the said Leas for that ground
onely to Sixty one years from Midsumer last being an adicon of eight
years & one quarter of a year tot he present terme and remitt the two
years rent reserved on the said Lease and that the rent for the same alone
be reduced to Five pounds & Tenn Shillings per Anum which is Twenty
two Shillings less then the old rent for the same and he to quitt his
Interest in the other Tenement Demised by the said Lease for which
the rent of Forty Four Shillings is reserved by the Prsent Lease joyntly
with the other rent but charged distinctly in our accompts And we
were the rather inclined to this Agreement in as much as the Ground
of the last menconed Tenements adjoyning to the new intended
burying place for patients dying in the Hospital was in our Opinions very
fitt to be added thereunto which being done the said rent of Forty Four
Shillings will be extinguished & therefore must from hence forth
