from all claymes to be made by the Said Mr Bland his Execr. or Admr or by any other
Pson or Psons under the Said William Latham< no role > the first Lessee thereof, And that
then the Said Mr Bland his Excecr or Admr shall Surrender his Lease & interest in
the whole prmisses to this Hospital, And that the Hospital shall thereupon by Indenture
demise to the Said Mr Bland his Execr or Admr for a Terme of Fifty one years
Comenceing from Michaelmas next at the rent of Thirty pounds P Annu payable
quarterly and Subject to the usual paymt. upon alienacons of the prmisses) All
the before menconed to be demised prmisses (Except the Said Messuage wth, the
apptenuces in the Occupacon of the said Mr Watts) Together with liberty (by takeing
downe own of the said intended to be demised Messuages on Tenemts.) to
make a Comon Cart and foot way through the Said peece of ground for
all people with Carts Carriages Etc to past and repaste to and from the
High Street of the Said pish of St Thomas Southwark into and out of the high
Street of the Pish of Sr Olave Southwark , through the other ground, lying all
along form the hereby bargained way downe to the Said High Streete of the
Pish of Sr Olave Southwarke, for the most part, betweene new built brick
Buildings, And that the Said Mr. Bland Shall make good all damage that
Shall be done to any of the Neighbouring Tenemts. by his takeing downe the
Said messuage for in makeing the Said Way, And by fitting Covenants & clause
of reentry to be conteined in the Said Indenture of Lease, shall Secure the
Hospital, dureing all the Said Terme of Fifty one years, against all obstruccons
of the said way through the said other ground, by any haveing right or
lawfull power to obstruct the Came, And it is further agreed that the Said
Mr Bland his Execr or Admstrator: Shall at his or their cost Erect for the
Hospital, where formerly the pale Stood, a good & Substantial Brick Wall
of a Convenient height, And that the Said Mr. Bland his Execr or Admstrator
shall covenant in the intended Indenture of Lease to pave the hereby
bargained way and to cleause and Stower all Sinkes Seidges Comon
Sewers and gutters lying under ranging with or belonging to the Same
or any part thereof, dureing the Said Terme, and also Covenant and
Condicon after the accustomed manner, dureing the Said Terme, to pay,
the Said rent of Thirty pounds P annu and to repaire and at the end
thereof to leave in good repaire the said intended to be demised prmisses
of which the said Wall is to be no part, and is therefore to be repaired
from tine to time by the Hospital, And the Hospital is to have liberty
to make what doores the Governors shall please through the Said Wall
to the Said Way, And the Said Mr Bland his Executor or Admrstrators
are to be Excluded from clapning any way unto the Said Burying place
This Court confirmed the Said agreemt. and Order'd that the Said Mr Bland
his Excecr & Admstrator doeing and Pforming in relation to the same
whatsoever on his or their parts ought to be done and Pformed shall
at the cost and charge of the said Mr Bland his Executor. or Admstrator
have a lease made to him or them of the Said bargained prmisses
according to the Said Agreement,

Doctrs Salarys


This Court having taken into consideracon the great paines
dilligence & constant attendance of Docter Wm. Dawkins & Doctr. Wm. Briggs< no role > the Prsent
Physicians of this Hospital in the Service thereof and that their Salaryes are very
Small, And, concurring in opinion wth. the comittee that each of them deserve to have
in the whole Forty pounds P annu from this house, and the rather for that it appear'd to ye
Committee & to this Court that Soe much was allowed to the Physician of this Hospital when
it maintain'd one Physician only, Did not only approve, of what has been allowed,
the Said Physicians, by order of the Said Committee, Since the last generall Court
But also ordered that for he further, Tenn pounds be paid to each of them quarterly
as a Standing Salary.
