vacancy, which happening now and hee deprived thereof by the Eleccon of the said
Mrs. Browne an aforesaid This Court held themselves obliged in consideracon of the.
said hazardous service of the said Mr. Rice and the recomendacon of the said Court
thereupon as aforesaid, and in regard all the other Chirurgeons live very remote from
and the said Edward fire Inhabites very nears unto this Hospitall to elect and
accordingly did choose him a Fowerth Chirurgeon to this Hospitall To hold the same
during his good behaviour and the pleasure of the Majority of the Governors of this
Court with the Salary only of Twenty pounds P ann during the lives of the other
three Chirurgeons and from and after any of their deceases then to have the usuall
Salary of Forty pounds P ann Nevertheles This Court Doth Declare That upon and
after the Death of any of the said Fower Chirurgeons the Number of Chirurgeons [..] of
this Hospitall shalbee reduced unto and continue the number of three and no more
according to the ancient and constant usage of this Hospitall.

It is Ordered according to the Report of the said Comittee That William
Buck
< no role > our Tennant shall have a Lease of the Tenement called the Bird in hand and
the Tenements adjoyning in the said parish which her now holds by Lease made to
Maine and which expires att Christmas next for the Terme of Five and
Twenty yeares from Christmas next aforesaid att and order the yearely rent of
Fower pounds and Eight Shillings for Tith and for a Fine of Seaventy pounds
to bee paid in hand Butt because William Yardly< no role > a Tennant of an adjoyning
Tenement Peticoned the Court alledging that a Celler included in the Graunt to the
said Buck doth lie under one of the Tenements of the said Hardley and if kept seperate
from his Tenement would greatly prejudice the same The Comittee is desired to
mediate the busines betweene the said Buck and Yardley about the said Celler
and settle the same if they can yett soe [..] not to impeach the said Bucks graunt
as aforesaid.

It is Alsoe ordered by this Court according to the report of the said Comittee That
a Lease bee made to Boniface Cramcell or his assigns of an house in St. Thomas parish held
of this Hospitall by Widdow Lavender (who was in arreare for rent thereof att Christmas
last the sume of Sixteene pounds) for the Terms of One and Twenty yeares from Christmas
last att the yearely rent of Forty shillings and Fower Shillings Tith hee the said Cranwell or
his assigns paying the said Sixteene pounds arreare and Fower pounds for a Fine
forthwith before Sealing the said Lease.

Thomas Parish late in the tenure of Firmin Holton< no role > from Lady day last 1683 for One
and Twenty yeares att the rent of Fifty Shillings and Fower Shilllings Tith and a
Fine of Twenty pounds to bee paid att Sealing

before Lady Day last hee having bin a long time our Tennant and very aged and soe
poore ad unable to pay it shalbee remitted and discharged out of the Account.

Alsoe That John Pond< no role > our Tennant for an house in St. Thomas parish in the passage
next the High streete by Lease made toRous expiring att Midsomer 1685 shall
have a Lease thereof for One and Twenty yeares from the expiracon of that Lease att the
Old rent of Forty and Fower Shillings and a Fine of Thirty pounds to bee paid att sealing
of the said Lease.

And Whereas the said john Pond< no role > is security for John Boone< no role > our Tennant
of a Tenement in St. Thomas parish who is runn in arreare and will over for rent att
Midsomer next the sume of Twelve pounds and Seaventeene Shillings It is Ordered that
in case the said John Pond< no role > pay the said arreare before Michmas next hee the said
John Pond< no role > shall enjoy the said house as Tennant att will att the yearely rent of
Fower and Forty shillings and no more from Midsomer next 1683 and keeping the same
in good repairr.
