The Minutes of the last Grand
Committee held 22 Janry were read &
confirmed

Mr Treasurer acquainted the
Committee that Mr Pearce the Apothecary
of this Hospitall had informed him. yt Mr
James Jolliff< no role > one of his Pupills had behaved
himself very diligently in attending the Apothe:
:cary Practice in this Hospitall & desir'd to
have a Certificate

Ordered that the said Mr.
Jolliff have a Certificate granted him as
usual

Then this Committee proceeded to
the Choice of one of ye Porters of this Hospitall
in the Room of Edward Hodson< no role > deced; late
Porter to ye Back Gate of this Hospitall. And
the several Petitions of Joseph Barber< no role > , Nathan
iel Charles
< no role > , John Cheltenham< no role > , John Eynon< no role > ,
Thomas Jennings< no role > , John Lea< no role > , Theophilus Martin< no role >
George Norroway< no role > , & Joseph Rowbotham< no role > praying
to be elected to be one of the Porters of this
Hospitall in ye Room of ye said Edward Hodson< no role >
were read; ye several Candidates being called in
at ye Time of reading their respective Petitions
& Barnard Bailey< no role > . & William Clarke< no role > Candi:
:dates for ye said Office who had no written Peti:
:tions being also called in & heard what they had
to offer, yt said several Candidates being with
drawn were all (except John Cheltenham< no role > who
acknowledg'd himself to be upwards of 50 Years
