Mr: Barttelott proposes to surrender the House
in the Front of the Hospitall in possession of Mr.
Vernon at £30 P Ann. wherein he has abt. 14
yeares ½ to come:

And to increase the Ground Rent of his four
Houses from £16 P Ann to £32 P Ann.

And to be at the Charge of makeing good the
Back front next the Hosppll as the Hospll:
shall direct to be uniforme with the Rest of the
Court

In Consideration of an addicon of 26 yeares
& ½ to make up the present Terme in the 4
Houses 41: yeares and his having the Ground
of the present Gateway and all the Old
materialls of Vernons House, and in Case of
the stone Front be pulled downe that the Hospll
make a new brick front instead there of and
make good what Damage shall be done to the
Bakers house by pulling down the said Vernons
House and the Front of the Bakers House & of
the old Gateway & he to have the Roomes over
the new Gateway & the Cellar under it
