Comittee, Whereby it Appeares, That the
Damage by plowing the parture Grounds
contrary to Covenant, Amounts to - £314: at
the least, And that Great Care and be
Taken, to have these Ground Laid downe
& Sowne with propper Graft Seed for the Resp: at the Lease Or also
they will not Recover their former Goodnesse,
and some will not doe it, within that time.
And that the Mansion House is much out of
Repaire, and will Cost at least - £80: to
Doe what is absolutely Necessary for the
Support of it.Mr. Townley & Mr:
Gascoyne, Two of the Representatives of Mr.
More, And Mr. Guilbert, their Freind, were
Present at this Comittee, And Acquainted
with the Substance of the sd Report, And
were required to Make Satisfaccon for these
Damages, And to pay the Arreares of Rent
And Interest for the same And also Intt:
for part of the Fine, whihc it was Unpaid
And the Law Charges upon the Ejectmt: wherein
Judgemt: is Obtained, And other Charges
occasioned by this Breach of Covenant, in
Surreys & otherwise, They Said they
were not prepared to Give an Answer to
these Demonds; That they were Informed, the
Land was not the worse for plowing it, the
Ground before being Squinny, And Hoped
The Comittee would not Insist upon any
Allowance for Damages, The Comittee Told
them, That they thought their Demands Just
& Reasonable, and therefore should Insist
upon them, And upon the Request of these
Gentlemen Allowed them till this Day fortnight
to Give a positive Answered, what they will Doe
herein, The Comittee Declareing, that they
will
