St Thomas, Hospital Decr. 18th. 1807
I wrote to you few Part ago in Acknowledgemt. of your Rmiettance, &
senu then I have been examinery the Account & Voucher of the Income & Expen-
delaire of the Pewsey Eatate before I lay them for the pound of the Treaseuer, &
I wrote to year now to pvent out a Milat [..] in the present years Account which
probably areas from an In accuracy in the copying Clerk. I have seven you
on the other side Extracts fram your last & present years Account, son
Rerence to it year well see that Messr. Hamlen were charged with Ruds
up to Lady day 1806 only in the first Account, & consequently the one years
Rent in the second Account can only be to Lady day (and not Michmas) 1807
The Rent fram the mener Tenant appear to be and I prusurance are, to Michmas
I will be obleged to you to inform Mr Present of Part if these Remark, are
right: tell then I defer entering the Account in the Hospital Books.

In my laid I did not reply to an observation of your respecting
the Property tax returned by the Hospital to the Tax office; but the fact is
as we claim the Return fram Government they require me to deliver in
the Schedule upon Oath taking the actual Rents received by the Hospital
& appled to charactable this. I cannot therefore give any other Statemnt
it may probably affect Messrs Hamlen as to purocheel or other Taxes,
but will Parput to the Property Tax half, as it is allowed them by the
Hospital at as so far of no Consequence whether they are apeped as £600
or at £950.
