Mr. Barringer
By the above State of the Accot. you will perceive that the Tents.
are in Arrear two Years (wanting but 4s.) at Lady day last even supposing they were
allowed the Copyrents & Land tax to the times above mentioned, which is not fit to
allow further than the Rent is Paid. You send me word that You are Receiver of
the Copy rents & have set 'em down with the Land tax in Yr. Letter, when you know I
have frequently wrote you that I cannot give the Tents. Credit for them unless you
send me the Rects. several of which are wanting as appears by the above Acct.
The Gent expectanotherYear's Rent in a Fortnits time at farthest & the
remainder of the Balance soon after. I sent you as Rect. by the Carrier for the
£18..14..- on 21st. inst. as I did likewise for the £22. on 31st. Decr. last
