MIDDLESEX .


AT the General quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex ,
at the Session House for the said County, (by adjournment)
on Thursday the Fourth Day of April in
the Thirty ninth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc.

Whereas Thomas Rolle< no role > of the Hamlet of Hammersmith in the said
County Farmer Hath at this prevent Session Exhibited his Petition and
Appeal setting forth That by a Rate on Assessment made for the relief of the
poor of the said Hamlet on the day of March last and allowed on the 16th
day of the same Month The Petitioner was assessed for a Farm in his Occupation
on a supposed Rent or Value thereof of £240 a Year. That he conceived himself
aggrieved by such Rate 1st. Because the said Sum of £240 a Year was more than
the Rent or Value of his said Farm 2dly. Because Various other persons who
held and occupyed rateable property within the said Hamlet were rated in a
much lower proportion than the Petitioner in respect of the several Values of their
Properties respectively 3dly Because several Occupiers of rateable property within
the said Hamlet were not raced at all in respect thereof and that divers rateable
properties within the said Hamlet or wholly omitted in the said Rate: whereby
the Petitioner conceived himself aggrieved: Thereupon at the request of the said
Petitioner It is Ordered that the benefit of his said appeal should be saved
into him and the hearing and determining thereof be and the same is hereby
adjourned until the next General Quarter Session of the Peace to be holden for this
County and on notice hereof in the mean time to be given unto the Overseers of
the poor of the said Hamlet of Hammersmith they and all persons concerned do
attend the Court at the Session house aforesaid on Thursday the Twentieth day of
June next at the hour of nine in the forenoon of the same day to hear and abidea
the judgment and determination of the said Court touching the said appeal
