Pr. Week the Ansr. was," that will to You do
not belong to Usr. & directions were given to the
Clerk of the Vestry Clerk to Drawmakeout an examination
on which to found an order of reml.shortly afterward
one was drawn out stating that, he had hired a room
at 10/6 Per Week in the Parish of St. George the Masty [..]
in Southwark & had occupied the same for the space
of 6 Weeks & upwardswhen this examination
was read to the Pauper he refused to swear to it on [..]
Which he was told by the Clerk Some time must be mentioned [..] sent only matter of form & he must I [..] [..] he however
Refused to swear to it & at last with much defferently
& many objections, the examination was attend to 6
Weeks [..] or thereabouts & in addition to this the
Pauper says that the examination is only signed
with his mark whereas he can Write a good hand but
it having been previously drawn & the Clerk having
taken it for granted that he could not write had written
[..] at the botton "Christr. Gainford< no role > his mark" & a mark
was accordingly put to it, the Clerk telling him it
was only matter of form
