Middlesex Michaelmas Session 1798

Between The Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Brill in the County of
BucksAppellants
and
The Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Tottenham in the
County of Middlesex Respondents

By Virtue of an Order of Removal under the Stands and Seals of
William Brodie< no role > and R. Davies Esq. bearing date the 10th. day of October
1798 Alice Haley< no role > (Stated to be) the Wife of one Thomas Haley< no role > who had
deserted her and their Child Mary < no role > aged one Year and upwards were conveyed
to the parish of Brill and delivered to the Churchwardens and Overseers
there on the 13t. October

To this Order the Parish Officers of Brill appeal
but as they have been precluded [..] by the shortness of the time from
collecting the necessary Evidence to support their Case no notice
of their intention of Appeal has been given to the Parish of
Tottenham You will therefore please to move that the Appeal
may be lodged at this Session and Respicted for hearing till the next.
