The facts are that Gainford did hire the Billiard r [..]
at 10/6 per Week & kept it for about 6 Weeks but he is not
certain as to the time & the inclination of his mind [..]
that it was less than 6 Weeks rather than more, the
rent however was infact paid for the Billiard Table, the Mace [..]
etc. a very small portion of it for the Room, which it let
by itself makedly without any kind of furniture, would not
as the Pauper says have let formorethan above 2/-
Pr. Week at the most therefore the residue of the rent £ was
Paid for the Case of the Table etc. it is however necessary
to observe thatatduring the time the Pauper occupied this Room
he lodged in an apartment in a house in a place called
Dean Row in St. Georges Parish for which apartmt.
& for a Bod 1/6 Pr. Week was paid, but whether it
was the Room of the Pauper or of a Woman with
whom he them cohabited is doultful, but supposing
it to have been his & adding the 1/6 P Week paid for it
(including Bedr.) to the 2/ Pr. Work the utmost worth
of the Billiard Room if let unfurnished, they will not
together make 10l. Pr. Amadm; (the amb. being 9.20)

Besides We think the want of Proof of the actual [..]
occupancy for 40 days is a decision objection, us the
condence of it is very doubtful, indudratheragainst
it rather than the contrary and the law upon that head
10c are convinced requires clear & positive Proof.
