MIDDLESEX


At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County, (by adjournment)
on Thursday the Twenty sixth Day of October in the
Thirty eighth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, &c. .

It is Ordered that the hearing and determining the matter of an appeal
of Robert Clarke< no role > of Leicester in the County of Leicester Carrier against a certain
conviction under the Hand and Seal of John Spiller< no role > Esqr one of His Majestys Justices
of the peace for the County of Middlesex bearing date the nineteenth day of June One
Thousand Seven hundred and ninety seven made on the Information of one Edward
Bennett
< no role > for having as therein alledged on the fifteenth day of October One Thousand
Seven hundred and ninety six at the Parish of Finckley in the County of Middlesex
unlawfully used and caused to be used a Waggon of which he was alledged to be the
owner upon a certain Turnpike Road in the said Parish of Finchley in the said
County of Middlesex [..] breadth of nine Inches
which said Waggon so having the Fellies of the Wheels of the breadth of Nine
Inches did pass and was drawn on the said Turnpike Road in the said Parish of
Finchley in the said County of Middlesex with more than Eight horses that is to say
with nine Horses contrary to the statute in such case made and provided
which stood duly adjourned until this day Do stand further adjourned until
the next General Quarter Session of the peace to be holden for this County and on
notice hereof in the mean time to be left at the last known place of abode of the said John
Spilter within the County of Middlesex he and all persons concerned do attend the
Court at the Session house aforesaid on Thursday the Eleventh day of January
next at the hour of nine in the forenoon of the same day to hear and abide the
judgement and determination of the said Court touching the said appeal
