MIDDLESEX .


AT the GeneralSession of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session-House for the said
County, () on Monday
the Eighteenth Day of September
in the Thirty seventh Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of Great
Britain, Etc. Before William Mainwaring< no role > , William
Bleamire
< no role > , William Knox< no role > , John Bond< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com
mitted in the same County.

WHEREAS the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Paul Shadwell in the County of Middlesex Have at this present Session
Exhibited their Petition and Appeal setting Forth That by virtue of an Order
or Pass Warrant under the Hands and Seals of John Staples< no role > and Peter
Mellish
< no role > Esquires two of His Majestys Justices of the Peace acting in and for
the County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the
18th. day of August 1797 Mary Simett< no role > was removed and conveyed from and
out of the Hamlet of Poplar and Blackwall in the County of Middlesex to the
said Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell as the place of her last legal settlement
whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved
Now, upon hearing the said Appeal, and what hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish and Hamlet their Counsel and Witness
in and concerning the Premises. IT IS ORDERED, that the said Appeal be, and the
same is hereby dismissed, and that the said Order of the said two Justices be, and the same is
hereby confirmed; And IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell do maintain
and provide for the said Mary Sinnett
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law.
