Shadwell in this County in the Stead of William Stokes< no role >
deceased coming or this Day pursuant to
the Order of the last Session
And Elijah Goff< no role > Junr. and Henry Leroux< no role >
having offered themselves as Candidates
to succeed to that Office The Court proceeded
to a Ballot; and the Ballot being closed
it appeared that 106 of His Majestys Justices of the peace for the County had Collected & That 76Justiceshad
ballotted for the said Elijah Goff< no role > and
30Justicesfor the said Henry Leroux
Whereupon the said Elijah Goff< no role > was
declared to be duly elected I being called
in and informed by the Chairman
