The King on the Prosecution of Thomas
Gibson

Thomas Gibson< no role > of Oxford Road in the County of Middlesex Linen Draper
and Charles Charter< no role > of Bartholomew [..] Smithfield in the City of London
Attorney at Law severally make Oath and say and first this Deponent
Thomas Gibson< no role > for himself saith That on Wednesday the sixth day
of May last being informed by a Friend of this Deponent that [..]
a Person of the Name of Thos. Harcock< no role > was in Custody for obtaining
Goods under false pretences of a Silkman in Wood Street Cheap
side and was to be Examined at the Public Office in Hatton Garden
that day Deponent accordingly Attended to see if it was the same
person who had obtained Goods of Deponent under the same
pretences when their Deponent found, it wasthe same [..]
And this Deponent further saith that immediately after the Examinant
of the parties were closed and Bound over to Prosecute Deponent
related his Case to the setting Majestrate and Deponent was
Bound over to Prosecute are above name Thos. Harcock likewise
And this Deponent further saith that not knowing the nature
of a Prosecution Deponent expected he should have notice when to
Attend the Trial And this Deponent further said that in the
21st. May last on reading a Newspaper he accidintally saw the
the Sessions had begun which struct him that the stod Attending
Deponent accordingly went to the Public Office in Hatton Garden
to be informed how he shod. Proceed when a Clerk informed
[..] that he must go to the Session House Clerkenwell and
Proper his Bill of Indictment Dept. went Immediately and gave
Instructions and was desired to come again the next day [..]
when the Bill should to ready Dept. accordingly went and attended
before the Grand Jury and a true Bill was found
