MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session-House for the said
County, (b) on Monday
the twenty ninth Day of June
in the Thirty fifth Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of Great
Britain, Etc. Before William Mainwaring< no role > , William
Bleamire
< no role > , Rupert Clarke< no role > , Patrick Colquhoun< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the same County.

WHEREAS the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
James Clerkenwell in the County of Middlesex Did at the last General
Session of the peace held in and for this County Exhibit their Petition and
appeal setting forth That by an order under the Hands and Seals of William
Addington
< no role > and Edward Read< no role > Esquires two of His Majestys Justices of the peace
in and for the said County of Middlesex (one being of the Quorum) bearing
date the Eleventh day of May last Elizabeth Holmes< no role > aged about Two Years was
removed from the Parish of St Clement Danes in the said County of Middlesex to the
said Parish of St. James Clerkenwell in the same County as the place of her last legal
settlement whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved which and Appeal
stood duly adjourned until this Session

NOW upon hearing the said Appeal, and what hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parishes, their Counsel and Witnesses in
and concerning the Premises, IT IS ORDERED, that the said Appeal be, and the same is
hereby allowed, and the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside;
and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell do forthwith convey and
deliver back the said Elizabeth Holmes< no role >
(together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes who are hereby required to
receive and provide for the said Elizabeth Holmes< no role >
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law.
