Thomas Jullion< no role > of New Brentford in the County of
Middlesex Gentleman Albion Cooper of Richmond in
the County of Surry Tallow chandler and Samuel toy< no role > mark
the Isleworth in the County of Middlesex . Tallow Chandler
severally make Oath and Say And first this Deponent
Albinon Cooper for himself Saith that on or about the tenth
day of January last this Deponent was served with a
paper partly printed and partly written purporting to
be a Summons under the hand and Seal of Nathaniel
Bland
< no role > Esquire one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace
acting in and for the said County of Middlesex to appear
at be Office of him the said Nathaniel Bland< no role > in Old
Brentford in the County aforesaid on the thirteenth day of
the said month of January to shew Cause why he
this Deponent should not be fined in the penalty of
five Pounds for using or causing to be used a
cart in or upon a certain Highway or public
Turnpike Road in old Brantford aforesaid without
having his Surname and Place of Abode painted
there or is large legibel letters contrary to the Statute
se which poor port of the said Summons he this
Deponent can only speak to from remembrance
from the Circumstance by him hereafter stated
And this Deponent further Saith that he did appear to
the said Summons at the time and place aforesaid and
shew'd sufficient Cause as he this Deponent humbly
conceives why he should not be convicted in the said
penally of Five pounds never the less the said Majestrate
convicted him in the said penalty And this deponent
further Saith that at the same time he informed the said
Ar Bland he should not pay the penalty but should seek
redress in the premises at the same time requesting him
to return him his Summons which he refused to do
