Poor of the Parish of Kensington
in the said County and to
the Church Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of St. George Southwark
in the County of Surry

and to each and every of them.

UPON the Complaint of the Church Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Kensington
in the County of Middlesex unto us whose Names
are hereunto set, and Seals affixed, being two of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex
and one of us of the Quorum, that [..] Edward Edwards< no role >
& Jane< no role > his wife and their [..] their Children on mely
Edwad< no role > aged about 12 Years Elizabeth< no role > aged
about 10 years [..] Harriett< no role > aged about 9 Years and Ann< no role >
ages about 7 Years
did lately come to inhabit in the said Parish of
Kensington not having gained a legal Settlement there, nor
produced any Certificate owning themselves to be settled
else where, and that the said Edward Edwards< no role > and Jane
his wife and their said [..] there Children
[..] is & are likely to be chargeable to the said
Parish of Kensington We the said
Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon the Examination
of the said Edward Edwardes upon Oath,
as otherwise, and likewise upon due Consideration had of the Premises,
do adjudge the same to be true; and we do likewise adjudge, that the
lawful Settlement of them the said Edward Edwards< no role >
this said wife [..] & these Childrenand their said four three
Children
is in the said Parish of St George Southwark in the said
County of Surry I We do therefore
require you the said Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Kensington or some or
one of you to convey the said Edward Edwards< no role > & his said
wife andFourthree Children

from and out of your said Parish of Kensington
to the said Parish of St. George Southwark and them
to deliver to the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or
to some or one of them, together with this our Order, or a true Copy
thereof: And we do also hereby require you the said Church Wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St George Southwark
to receive and provide for them as Inhabitants of your
said Parish Given under our Hands and Seals the 18th
Day of June in the Year of our Lord One thousand
Seven hundred and Ninety three.
