to wit

} The Order of Edward Hulse< no role > and Edward
Gray
< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace in and for the said County one whereof is
of the Quorum, and both residing next unto the Limits of
the Parish Church within the Parish of St. Mary le
bone in the said County
made the Twenty fifth Day of May in the
year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred
and Ninety three
concerning a Male
Bastard Child, lately born in the Parish of St
Mary Le Bone aforesaid, of the Body of
Catherine Macklin< no role > Single Woman .

WHEREAS it hath appeared unto us the said Justices, as well upon the Compliant
of the Church-Wardens and Overssers of the Poor of the said Parish of St
Mary Le Bone as upon the Oath of the said Catherine Macklin< no role >
that the the said Catherine Macklin< no role > on the Twenty fourth Day of
April now last past, was delivered of a Female Bastard Child, at the
Work house in the said Parish of St Mary Le Bone in the said
County and that the said Female Bastard Child is likely to be chargeable
to the said Parish :and further, that James Orams< no role > of
Tottenham of Court Road in the said County Brewer did he get the said
Bastard Child on the body of her the said Catharine Macklin< no role > and Whereas
is hath been duly proved to us upon Oath that the said James Orans< no role >
hath been duly summoned to appear before us the said Justices to the end for
might examine intothecause and circumstances of the premisses And whereas
the said James Orans< no role > hath neglected to appear before us according to the said Summons
We therefore, upon Examination of the Cause and Circumstance of the Premises, as well
upon the Oath of the said Catherine Macklin< no role > as otherwise, do hereby
adjudge him the said James Orans< no role > to be the reputed Father of the said
Bastard child.

And thereupon we do Order, as well for the better Relief of the said Parish of St.
Mary le Bone as for the Sustentation and Relief of the said Bastard Child, that the
said James Ovans< no role > shall and do forthwith, upon Notice of this our Order,
pay or cause to be paid to the said Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish or to some or one of them, the Sum of Two Pounds
for and towards the Lying-in of the said Catherine macklin< no role > and the Maintenance
of the said Bastard Child, to the Time of making this our Order.

And we do also hereby further Order, that the said James Ovans< no role > shall likewise
pay, or cause to be paid, to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish for the Time being, or to some or one of them, the Sum of
Two shillings & six Pence Weekly and every Week from the present Time, for and towards the
Keeping, Sustentation, and Maintenance of the said Bastard Child, for and during so long
Time as the said Bastard Child shall be chargeable to the said Parish

And we do further Order, that the said Catherine Macklin< no role > shall also pay,
or cause to be said to the said Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish for the Time bing, or to some or one of them, the Sum of
Six pence Weekly and every Week, so long as the said Bastard Child
Shall be chargeable to the said Parish, in case she shall not nurse
and take Care of the said Child hereself.
