MIDDLESEX


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden, in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session- House for the said
County, () on Monday
the Second Day of July
in the Thirty Second Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of Great
Britain Etc Before William Mainwaring< no role > , William
Bleamire
< no role > , Nathaniel Conant< no role > , Charles Sheppard< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our Said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to bear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the Same County.

WHEREAS the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Matthew Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex Did at the last General
Session of the Peace held in and for this County Exhibit their Petition and Appeal
setting forth That by virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under the Hands and Seals
of Robert Smith< no role > and R. Davies Esquires two of His Majestys Justices of the Peace
acting in and for the said County of Middlesex (one being of the Quorum) bearing
date the twenty fourth day of April last past, Jane Hurst< no role > Singlewoman was
removed and conveyed from and out of the Parish of Saint John of Wapping in the
County of Middlesex aforesaid to the said Parish of Saint Matthew Bathnal Green
as the place of her last legal settlement, whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves
aggrieved which said Appeal stood duly adjourned until this Session

Now upon hearing the said Appeal, and what hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens Overssers of the Poor of the said Parishes their Counsel and Witnesses
in and concerning the Premises. IT IS ORDERED, that the said Appeal be, and the
same is hereby dismissed, and that the said Order of the said two Justices be, and the same is
hereby confirmed; And IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Matthew Bethnal Green do maintain
and provide for the said Jane Hurst< no role >
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law.
