In the Matter of Bastardy

Joseph Manning< no role > of the Parish of Saint September in the
County of Middlesex Yeoman and Elizabeth Tanner< no role > Mistress of
the workhouse of the said parish severally make Oath and say
and first this deponent Joseph Manning< no role > for himself Saith
that which on the twenty sixth Instant serve there said Thomas
Lloyd< no role > with a true why a the Notice hereunto annexed by
delivering the Said true Copy to a the Nessenger belonging to the
General Post Office London That appartment where the said
Thomas Lloyd< no role > is a Clerk ( there said Thomas Lloyd< no role > being then
absent) who assured this Deponent he would deliver the
Same day personally serve another time Copy of the
Notice here unto annexed on John Hill< no role > of the General
Post Office London and that he did also on the
same day Serve another true copy of the Notice here unto
annexed on James Dickire of No 2. Abchurch Lane
city of London Hair Dresser by delivering there said
House in Abe [..] Lane aforesaid And this Deponent
Elizabeth Tanner< no role > for herself Saith that Elizabeth Penn< no role >
Singlewoman who by her 4 amination in writing taken
the fourth day of July last serve herself to be pregnant
with one or more Bastard Child of Children was and that Thomas Lloyd< no role > was there Father of the Bastand Child or Children was on
Sunday last the twenty third [..] Instant delivered of a
Make Child but from her present situation and weakness
of Body is not able to Attend three Justices to be examined for
the purpose of making an October of Fitiation
