Catharine Chittenden< no role >
in her Examination taken in
Writing and upon Oath before one of his Majestys Justices of
the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex
on the
Twenty NinthDay of December last did declare that she was then
with Child and that the Child or Children with which she
she then went and was Pregnant were likely to be born
a Bastard or Bastards and to be Chargeable to the Parish
of Saint Mary Le Bone
in the County of Middlesex
and
further that
Edward Brown< no role >
of Castle Street East
in the
Parish of St. Mary Le Bone
in the said County Smith
was the real and true Father of the Child on
or Children so likely to be born And Whereas the
said
Edward Brown< no role >
did in consequence thereof enter into
Recognizance with sufficient Sureties to abide and perform
such order as should be made in pursuance of an Act in
the 18th Year of the Reign of her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth
And Whereas she was delivered of a Female Child
which
Child died the [..] day of [..]
These are to Certify His
Majestys Justices of the Peace
at their General Quarter
Sessions of the Peace for this County that the said
Edward
Brown< no role >
hath clearly indemnified and exonerated
the said Parish of Saint Mary Le Bone
for and on Accounts
of all and all manner of Expences which have been
incurred by reason of the maintenance and lying in
of the said Catharine Chittender
and all other Expences relative thereto.
