Middlesex Session


Henry Crook< no role > of Knight bridge in the County of
Middlesex the Petitioner in the Petition named maketh
oath and saith That on or about the Fifth Day of November
one thousand seven hundred and Eighty Nine he was Bound
Apprentice to Thomas Evans< no role > of Newton Street in the Parish
of Saint Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex
Carpenter and Joiner to Learn his art and with him
after the manner of an Apprentice to serve him from
the Day of the Date there of for the Term of Seven Years
That the said Thomas Evans< no role > did thereby Covenant
promise and agree in Consideration of Forty pounds to him
in Hand paid by this Deponents Father to Teach and
Instruct this Deponent in the Art and Trade of a
Carpenter and Joiner which he then used in the best way
and Manner he could And did thereby agree to find and
provide for this Deponent During his said Apprenticeship
Good and Sufficient Meat Drink Washing Lodging and
mending Divering the said Term This Deponents Fathers
agreeing to find and provide this Deponent with all other
Necessaries during the said Term And this Deponent
further saith that on or about the seventh Day of
November last past the said Thomas Evans< no role > this Deponent
Master Quitted his Habitaion and this Deponent hath
not heard of him Since such time Keither can he
this Deponent Learn where he now is And this
Deponent further saith that some short time after the
said Thomas Evans< no role > Quitted his late Habitation and Dwelling
House this Deponent was Obliged to quit the same the
said Thomas Evans< no role > left Nothing for this Deponent to do and
no one to Instruct him in his said Business of a Carpenter
