The Humble Petition and appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the parish of Saint Bartholomew
by the Exchange
in the City of London
Sheweth
That by an Order or pass warrant bearing date the twenty sixth
day of August 1789 under the hands and sales of Philip Dyot< no role >
and
David Walker< no role >
Esquires
two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace
in
and for the said County (One whereof being of the Quorum) whereby
William King< no role >
Ann < no role >
his Wife and their two children Vizt. Catherine< no role >
aged about eleven years and William < no role >
aged about ton years were
removed from the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the said County
of Middlesex
to the said parish of Saint Bartholomew by the
Exchange
as the place of their last legal Settlement
That your Petitioners apprehending themselves aggrieved by
the said Order or pass Warrant of the said two Justices humbly Appeal
against the same
And therefore humbly pray that your Worships will
be pleased to Order the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the parish of Saint Clement Dane
aforesaid and all
persons concerned to attend the Court some day this
present Session to hear and abide the Judgement of this
Court touching the premisses and that your Petitioners
may have such relief therein as to your Worships may
seem meet.
