To the Worshipful the Justices of
the Peace for the County of Middlesex
at the General Quarter Session of the
Peace in and for the said County assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
Parish of Saint John Baptist in the City of
Peterborough in he County of Northampton

Sheweth

That by an Order dated the Seventh day of August
last under the Hands and Seals of John Spiller< no role > and Thomas
ICotton Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex (one
whereof being of the Second Ann Marriott< no role > Wife of
John Marriott< no role > who had deserted her and her three
Children namelyCharles < no role > aged Nine years Mary < no role > aged
Three year and Samuel < no role > aged about four Months were
removed and conveyed from the Parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch in the said County of Middlesex to our said
Parish of Saint John Baptist as the Place of their last
Legal Settlement whereby your Petitioners consider
themselves aggrieved and humbly after this Appeal and

Your Petitioners Pray that you the
said Justices will please to fix a
Time for the hearing and determining
their said appeal and that all Parties
concerned may them a Hand.
