The King against the Inhabitants of the Parish of St
Martin in the Fields .

Two Justices made an order dated 18th July 1785 for
the removal of Thomas Henry Selwood Arnold< no role > , Mary< no role > his
wife and their three Children namely Anna Maria< no role >
aged 5 Years, Naomi< no role > aged 3 years, and william
Thomas
< no role > aged 2 months from the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square in the County of Middlesex to the said
Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields in the same County
and upon Appeal the Sessions quash the order, Stating
the following

Case

12 May 1770


Thomas Hen: Selwood Arnold being then a singleman
was hired by Ambrose Audrey< no role > Esquire of Stratton street
in the said Parish of Saint George Hanover square as an
yearly hired servant in the capacity of groom; and continued
in that service three years and ten months that is to say
until

12 March 1774


when he married being then in the Parish of Seem in
Wiltshire where he had been the 40 days next preceding
and from that time continued in the same service and
in the same Parish untill the expiration of the 4th Year
