Gentlemen
I was favoured with a letter from your
a Sheriffs of the County of Middlesex
inclosing a Copy
of an Order of the House of Commons
directed to you as
Sheriff to make a return of persons convicted of
Felonies or Misdemeanors and now under sentence
of Imprisonment in the Goals and House of Corrections
in the County of Middlesex
with other parties has
respecting such Convicts in the said Outer expressed

and requesting [..] to give orders are accordingly in respect to the their [..] in this your [..]
As this return is a matter with which Justice the ill of there
[..] th nothing
to do Officially and consequently can give no orders
with effect to any one concerning it, I beg leave to sug-
-gest that the proper application sums be to the
respective keepers of the prisons in the County and in order
to assist you in that respect you will find subjoined
the names of the prisons within this County and of
their respective Keepers.
