Know all Men by these Presents That I Henry Collingwood Selby< no role >
of the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields in the County of Middlesex Esquire Clerk of the Peace of
the said County of Middlesex Have [..] ted Appointed and Deputed And by these Presents
Do Nominate Appoint and Depute Thomas Stirling< no role > of Northumberland Street in the Parish of
Saint Martin in the Fields in the said County Gentleman, being a Person instructed in the Laws of this
Realm to be my lawful and sufficient Deputy in and for my said Office of Clerk of the Peace of the
County aforesaid To hold occupy and execute the said Office for me are in my Name and to
demand she for recover and receive to my Use All such Fees Profits and Perquisites as to the same
Office lawfully shall or do belong or appertain so long as he shall duly and faithfully execute and
perform the same by Virtue of these Presents Giving to my said Deputy all my Authority and
lawful Power concerning the Execution of the said Office And hereby allowing unto my said Deputy
the Yearly Sallary of Two Hundred Pounds-to be by him his Executors Adminsitrators or
Assigns [..] and detained out of the Fees Profits and Perquisites aforesaid He my said Deputy
accounting and paying into me or they assigns four times or after in every year if thereunto
required all and every the Fees Profits [..] Perquisites whatsoever which he shall from Time to
Time recover or receive for me or to my Use or in the said Office as aforesaid And I do hereby
ratify and confirm all and whatsoever my said Deputy shall lawfully do or cause to be done in
or concerning the Premises by Virtue of these presents In Witness whereof I have hereunto
set my Hand and Seal the Nineteenth Day of February in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand
Seven hundred and Eighty five and in the Twenty fifth Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord
George the Third King of Great Britain and so forth.

of Hilary Tenn in the Twenty fifth Year of his present
Majestys Reign in the Side of the Lord Treasurers
Remembrance of his Majestys Court of Exchequer
that it may appear upon Record that the within named
Thomas Stirling< no role > is Deputy Clerk of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex and this shall be your Warrant
