Middlesex . to wit.


To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of East Bedfont
in the County of Middlesex ;
and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of St Clave [..] County of Surry

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made by you the
Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of East Bedfont in the County of
Middlesex unto us whose Hands and Seals are
hereunto set, two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace (where-
of one is of the Quorum) for the County of Middlesex , afore-
said, that Sarah Duffin, and her four Children; namely
Ann, Aged Nine years,-Mary, Aged Seven years
Sarah Aged five years,-and Frances Aged Two
yearshave
lately intruded into your said Parish of East Bedfont , in the
said County of Middlesex ;
there to inhabit as Parishioners contray to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, and they there are likely to become char-
geable, (if not timely prevented:) And Whereas, upon due Ex-
amination and Enquiry made into the Premises,



it appears unto Us, and we accordingly adjudge, that the said
Sarah Duffin< no role > , Ann Duffin< no role > ,Mary Duffin< no role > Sarah
Duffin
< no role > , and Frances Duffin< no role > ,

are [..] become chargeable unto the said Parish of East Bedfont
in the said County of Middlesex and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the said Sarah Duffin< no role >
is in the said Parish of
St Clave Southwark , in the said County of Surry.

These are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, to order and require
you the said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of East Bedfont in the County of Middx aforesaid, that you
or some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the said Sarah
Duffin
< no role > , Ann Duffin< no role > , Mary Duffin< no role > , Sarah Duffin, and
Frances Duffin< no role > from your said Parish of East Bedfont
in the County of Middlesex to the said Parish of St Clave
Southwark , in Surry; and them deliver
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some
or one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a
true Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required, in his
Majesty's Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case
made, forthwith to receive the said Sarah Duffin< no role > and her said
Four Children, Ann Mary< no role > , Sarah, and Frances,

into their said Parish and provide for them,
as their own Parishioners, Given under our Hands and Seals the
Fifth Day of May in the Year of Our
Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty four.
