John Egleton< no role > of the Sign of the Gun in Norton Street Portland Cheas [..]
in the Parish of Saint Mary le Bone in the County of Middlesex Muffin
Baker maketh Oath that at the last General Quarter Session of the Peace [..]
held for the sd. County he appeared in this Honorable Court with Two Sureties
and then and there pleaded not Guilty to an Indictment then preferred against
him for a Misdemeanor and Entered into a Recognizance to try his Traverse at
the present Session and this Deponent Saith that one Charles Woodman< no role >
who then lived as Journeyman with him left his Service about the middle of March
last and Saith he hath lately heard and been informed that the said Charles
Woodman
< no role > now wides at Salisbury in Wiltshire and further Saith that he
is a material Witness for this Deponent on the Trial of the Indictment
in this Caused and without whose Testimony this Deponent cannot with may
Safely take his Tryal at the Present SessionAnd lastly this Dapondant
Saith that he will use his atmost endeavours to produce the said Charles
Woodman
< no role > to give Evidence on is said Tryal at the next Session
