Concerning the Settlement of Charles Downes< no role > , Sarah< no role > his
Wife and Sarah< no role > his Daughter

The Pauper Charles Downes was removed by an Order of
two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx :
with Sarah, said to be his Wife and Sarah said to be their Daughter
to the parish of St Martin in the Fields in the said County of Middx
as the place of then last legal Settlement

It is supposed that the said Charles Downes was not
named to the said Sarah and that in consequence the said
Sarah their Daughter is Illegitimate
