To the Worshipfull his Majestys Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex in their General
Quarter Session of the Peace assembled.

The humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of
the Parish of Tempsford otherwise Thamesford
in the County of Bedford

Sheweth.


That by Virtue of an Order under the Hands and Seals of
Peter Greene< no role > and R. Smith two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the said County of Middlesex bearing date the sixth day of
September One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty three.
William Riseley< no role > a Lunatic was removed and conveyed from
and out of the Parish of Saint John of Wapping in the said County
of Middlesex to the said Parish of Thamesford as the place of
his last legal Settlement whereby the said Churchwardens and
Overseers of Thamesford otherwise Tempsford conceive themselves
aggrieved.

Therefore humbly pray your Worships to appoint
a Day in this present General Quarter Session to hear
and determine their said Appeal.
