Apprenticeship or the counterpart thereof to this Deponenet
according to his said Promise this Deponent did on the
Seventy eighth day of December last send this Deponents
said Clerk to the said Thomas Blake< no role > 's wife (who [..]
was then and as this Deponent hath been Informed and
believes now is in the work house of the Parish of Saint
Martin in the Fields ) when she told him at this Deponent
was Informed by his said Clerk and which this Deponent
believes to be true that the said Thomas Blake< no role > (who
travels about the Country with out Inhibition of wild
Boasts) had not been home since this Deponents
said Clerks former Application to him (at which time
he was at Edmonton) and that she could not give this
Deponents said Clerk any Information where to find
the said Thomas Blake< no role > nor could she deliver to
him the said Indenture of Apprenticeship or the Counterpart
thereof but she Informed this Deponents said Clerk
as this Deponent was acquainted by himandthat
the said Thomas Blake< no role > would be in Town in the
Course of a month or Six weeks And this Deponent
further saith that his said Clerk has since the last
general quarter Session of the Peace holden at Hicks Hall
in and for the said County of Middlesex made
many other Inquiries for the purpose of finding the
said Thomas Blake< no role > so as to serve him with
a Subplence to Attend the hearing of this Appeal
but that he has not been able so to do as this
Deponent hath been Informed and verily believes
from the Information of this said Clerk.
