for the Appellants maketh Oath and saith that [..]
he this Deponent did make the several Inquires
in the foregoing Affidavit particularly mentioned and
was on the twenty Eighth day of December last Informed by Blake the wife of Thomas
Blake
< no role > the Son of Blake the father that the said
Thomas Blake< no role > would be in Town in the course of
a month or Six weeks and this Deponent further saith
that since the last general Session of the Peace he
hath made many other Inguiries for the purpose of
Finding the said Thomas Blake< no role > so as to serve him with
a Subpance to Attend the hearing of this Appeal at
this present session but hath not been able so to be
Sworn in Court the 16th
day of January 1783}
