of the same place Baker Bail for the said
Defendants Severally make Oath and say And first these
Deponents the said John Carter< no role >
and James Clarke< no role >
for
themselves say that being some Time since taken upon
a Warrant they found Bail thereto and was informed by
the Justice

Esqr. by whom such Bail were taken
that they must appear at Hicks Hall the first Day of July
then next ensuing And there Deponents further say that
being totally ignorant' of Business of this kind they
considered that all they were to do was that of personally
appearing according to the said Justices Direction and
therefore gave no Notice of Tryal as they have been
since informed by their Attorney they ought to have done
And these Deponents further Say that the Supposed
Nuisance for which the sd Indictments are preferred
has been long since removed and these Deponents are
willing and will be prepared to go to Tryal the ensuing
Session the Delay which has already occurred proceeding
only from these Deponents Ignorance and from no other
Cause whatever.
