in the County of Middlesex Peruke Maker and one of
the Bail for the above Defendant Maketh Oath that
he did on the Twenty Sixth day of June last past
personally Serve the prosecutrix above named with a
Notice Purporting that the said Defendant would
Personally Appear at the Session House On Clerkenwell
Green on Wednesday the third Day of July then following
and take her tryal on the said Indictment And this
Deponent Saith that not having Employed an
Attorney he Understood and believed he should be
in time to Enter the Cause as this day when he
was informed that the Practice was Altered and
that the Cause ought to have been Set down and
Entered on Saturday last and Saith that through his
ignorance of the Alteration of the Practice he
did not Enter the Cause in due time as he
ought to have done
