WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
His MAJESTY'S Justices of the Peace in and for [..]
County of MIDDLESEX (one whereof being of [..]
Quorum) by the Church-Wardens and Overse [..]
the Poor of the Parish of St. LUKES , in the Said County, [..]
Frances Askew< no role > Singlewoman and her Male
Bastard Child named John Montague< no role > aged
about five Years have

lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to Settle there
contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the said Justices
and we do adjuge that they are likely to become charge-
able to the Said Parish; and upon Examination of the said,
Frances Askew< no role > taken upon oath,
it further appeareth unto us, and we do likewise adjudge, that
the Parish of Saint James Westminster in the
County of Middlesex
is the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said Frances
Askew
< no role > and her said Male Bastard Child

These are therefore in his MAJESTY'S Name to Charge and
Command the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Said Parish of St. LUKE , forthwith to remove and convey the Said
Frances Askew< no role > and her said Male Bastard Child
from the Said Parish of St. LUKE , to the Said Parish of
Saint James Westminster and deliver them to the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there. or to some
or one of them, who are hereby required to provide for them,
according to Law. GIVEN under our Hands and Seals
the 1st Day of September 1779.

To the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the respective Parishes
of St. LUKE, in the County of MID
DLESEX, and Saint James.
Westminster in the Said County

and to all Officers when it may
concern.
