WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the County of
Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum), by the
Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Saint Giles in the Fields in the Said County,
That Jane Vallance< no role > wife of Benjamin Vallance< no role > (who is
gone away and not to be found) with her three Children
by her said Husband Vizt. Mary< no role > aged seven years and
upwards Ann< no role > aged four years and half and
Benjamin< no role > aged about three years are
lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to settle
there, contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the
said Justices, and we do adjudge that they are likely
to become chargeable to the said Parish; and upon Exami-
nation of the Premisses taken upon Oath, and other Cir-
cumstances, it further appeareth unto us, and we do
likewise adjudge, that the parish of Saint Andrew
Holborn above Bars in the said County
is the Place of the last legal
Settlement of the said Jane Vallance and her said
three Children.

John Cox< no role >

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name to Charge and
Command the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields
forthwith to remove and convey the said Jane Vallance
and said three Children
from the said Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields
to the said Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above Bars
and deliver them to the Church-wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, who are here-
by required to provide for them according to Law. Given
under our Hands and Seals the 16th. Day of
September - 17 69

To the Church-wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the respective Parishes of
Saint Giles in the Fields
in the County of Middlesex ,
and Saint Andrew Holborn above
Bars in the said County
and to all other Officers whom it may
concern.
