At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the King
holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John
Street in the said County (by Adjournment) on Thursday the
nineteenth day of October - in the Ninth Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the third King of Great Britain Etc Before
John Hawkins< no role > Esquire Sir Thomas Robinson< no role > Bart. Bartholomew Hammond< no role > Esqr .
Esquires and others their fellows Justices of our said Lord the King
Assigned to Keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also the hear and
determine divers felonies Trespasses and other Misdemeanors
committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Hales Owen in the
County of Salop Have at this Present Session of the Peace Exhibited their Petition and
Appeal Settingforth That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under the hands and Seals
of William Timbrell< no role > and William Mantle< no role > Esquires two of his Majestys Justices of the
Peace in and for the City and Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex (one
whereof king of the Quorum) bearing date the 19th. day of July 1769 Elizabeth Ward< no role >
the wife of Daniel Ward< no role > with her three Children, Phebe< no role > aged about Eight Years, Jane< no role >
Aged about Five Years and Edward< no role > aged about three Months were removed and Conveyed
from and out of the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square in the Liberty of Westminster
aforesaid to the said Parish of Hales Owen (by the name of Alce Owen) in thetheCounty of
Salop as the place of their last legal Settlement Whereby theyourPetitioners conceived themselves
to be Aggrieved and Appeal against the same Now upon hearing of the said Appeal and what
hath been Alledged on either side by the respective Churchwardens and Overseers their Council
and Witnesses in and concerning the Premisses It is Ordered that the said Appeal be
and the same is hereby Allowed and the said Pass Warrant or Order of the said two
Justices is hereby vacated and set aside And it is further Ordered that the Church
wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Hales Owen do forthwith Convey
and deliver back the said Poor woman and her three Children (together with a Copy of this
Order) unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint
George Hanover Square or to some or one of them who are hereby required to receive
and provide for them until they can Free themselves from the charge thereof by due
Course of law And it is also further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint George Hanover Square do forthwith [..] pay
or Cause to be paid to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of Hales Owen or to some or one of them the Sum of Four pounds and Five
shillings for their charges and expences in releiving and mantaining the said poor
Woman and her three Children since their removal.
