there saw sevl. Persons Armed with Pistols and Other Arms
That the Upper Part of the Room Door had a Sash of Glass and a
Curtain within side which was undrawn when Informant first
went there [..] That after Informant
had Pushed open the Room Door it was Shut again and
the Curtain was drawnas aboveand a Pistol was fired in
the Room the Ball or other Contents of which Came through the Glass part of
the Door That then Informant retreated from the Door
totowards the other end of the Passage There he Perceived a Door
on the right Hand which Informant forced Open
That by this time some more Pistols were fired in the Room
through the Door And Justice Wright was got into the
Passage above Stairs who Called out to them to Surrender
And Order'd Serjt. Yates (who was nearer to them) to Do the
SameThat Capt. Greenfield the Commanding Officer told
the Soldiers not to Fire without the Order of the Civil
MagistrateThat after this the Cutters Fired a General
Volley from out of the Room towards the Stairs which seem'd
to be Done SlanutingAnd after that the Justice Order'd
the Soldiers to Fire And as the Soldiers Fired the Capt.
Order'd those who had Fired to go down and Send up Others
in their Room That Others did not Come up so fast as
was Expected and there being only Informant and a Person
there who Informant hath since heard was Serjeant Yates
And the [..] Light being Put out by a Ball which
Informant thinks Came from the Cutters Informant went
