Wee Two of Her Maties Justices of the Pace for the County of Middlesex (one whereof
being of the Quorum) and Inhabiting within the limitts of the Parish Church of the parish
of st Giles in the fields in the said County having mett together and heard the Comployed
of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of st Giles in the
Fields Converning a Female Bastard Child born in the said Parish on the body of
Mary Steiffe< no role > singlewoman On the fourteenth day of February last past and Baptised
Ann and hath ever Since the Brith thereof until the twelfth day of this instant
month of March been Chargable to the said parish Do fine upon Examination
of the said Mary Sfeiffe< no role > taken upon Oath as also upon the respective Oath
of Ann Cornelious< no role > Midwife to Hen the said Mary Steiffe < no role > in Hor Travaile and
Delivery of the said Mary Steiffe< no role > of the said Female Bastard Child and
Ann salter< no role > who was present and Assisting at the said Travaile &Delivery
of the said Female Bastard Child That Charles Adderly< no role > of Albumarle Street
in the Parish of St. Martin in the Feilds in the County aforesaid Gent Did begett
on the Body of her the Said Mary Steiffe< no role > the said Female Bastard Child And
Do adjudge him the said Charles Adderly< no role > the reputed father thereof And Do
Order and appoint him the Said Charles Adderly< no role > forth with upon notice of
this our Order to pay to the said Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor or to
some or one of them the same of Forty Shillings of good & Lawfull money
of great Britain for defraying the charge of the Said parish of st Giles in the
Fields for releife of the Said female Bastard Child from the Brith thereof
until the time of the Derese of the said Female Bastard child being on the twelfth day of this instant month of March and for the charge of her lyeing in And
if the Said Charles Adderly< no role > Shall refuse to performe this Order then he is to
appeare at the next gen all Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be holden for the
said County of Middlesex then and there to abide such Order as the Justices
of the Peace or the more part of them Shall take in that behalfe Given
under Our Hands & Seals the thirteenth day of March Anno Dim 1707
