Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose
hands and seales are hereunto Sett Two of her
Maties: Justices of the Peace of the County of Middx
(quor unne) by the Churchwardens & Overseers of the
pson of the pish of St. Leonards Brumly in the said
County That Ann Wells< no role > an Infant of the Age of Six
Months daughter of Robert Wells< no role > is lately Left
in the said pish and is Actually chargeable to
the Inhabitants thereof And whereas it Appeareth
Unto Us the said Justices Upon the Oath Robert Wells< no role >
the father of the said Ann Wells< no role > that he was
Last Legally Settled in the pish of St. Magdelen
in Town of Colechester in the County of Essex
Where he Served as an Apprentice with Thomas
Wittnall
< no role > a Weaver & continued with him abt.
three Yeares And upon a Strict Examination we
can find noe other Settlement Save only the
said pish of St. Magdelen in Colechester aforesaid
And we doe Adjudge him to be Last Settled there
& not Else where

These are therefore in her Maties: Name to Require
you the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the
Pish of St. Leonards Brunily to remove and convey
the said Ann Wells< no role > from out of Your said Pish to the
pish of St. Magdelen in Clechester aforesaid & deliver
her to the Churchwardens & Overseers there where
are hereby Required her to Receive and provide
for shall they can free themselves there from by
due Course of Law Given under our hands &
seodes the tenth day of March Anno Dem. 1707

To the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of
the pish of St. Leonards Briunly in the County
of Middx as alsoe to the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poor of the pish of St. Magdelen in the
Town of Colchester in the County of Essex & all
others whom these may Concern
