The Humble Petition of John

Sheweth


That about 24e. June. 1700 Your Petr. was by the then
Ovseers of the Poor of the Precinct of the Artillary Ground
in the Liberty of the Tower of London By and with the Consent
of Two of her Matys Justices of the Peace of the sd. Tower
Liberty Putt and placed an apprntice to John Hurrey< no role > of Mile
End New Towne in the Parish of Stepney in this County
Weaver untill your Petr. should Accomplish his full age of
Four and Twenty Yeares According to the Statute in that
Case made and provided.

That your Petr. hath for Want of Comon Sustey name
been Ready to Perish and for Want of Apparell is almost
Naked And for as much as the Circumstances of your Petrs. sd.
Master Obleidging him to Confine himselfe allwayes to his
house and goes, not out from thence but On Sundays.
