having informed the Court that Jonathan Chadwick Durden< no role >
Esquire
one other of his Majesties Justices of the peace
for this County had been guilty of certain
Misdemeanours in the Execution of his Office and that he was ready to prove the same
He laid before the Court the following Papers.

and the sd. papers being read in the presence and hearing of the said Jonathan Chadwks.

asserting that the Sd. Charges were untrue and
that he cod. prove the falsely thereof if he had time allowed him for that purpose but was
not now prepared to do it It is Ordered that the said Jonathan Chadwick Durden
have according to his prayer in that respect time allowed him to make his defence to the
said Charges

this County complained of Cornelius Martin< no role >
Esqr. another of his Majestys Justices of the
Peace
for this County that several parish Officers had applied to Mr. Martin for several
Sums of Money now in his hands arising from Convictions of offenders against several
Statutes where part of the penalty is directed to be paid to the poor of the respective Parishes in
which such Offences are committed But had not received the money upon such demand
and the sd. Cornelius Martin< no role >
being present and desiring to be heard in answer to thesd.
Charge he sd. that he always enters every Conviction in a Book and pays the Money over
Quarterly if called upon but that it is not his Practice to pay over the Money arising from
every Conviction immediately upon Such Conviction
