to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine
divers felonies trespasses and other Misdemeanours committed in the same
County
Whereas the Churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the Parish of Saint Ann
Blackfriars
in the City of London
Have at this present Session Exhibited their petition and
Appeal Setting forth That by virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the hands and Seals
of two of his Majestys Justices of the peace
for the said County of Middlesex
one whereof being
of the Quorum bearing date the fifteenth day of November last past Elizabeth Banks< no role >
a
Singlewoman
together with her Bastard Child named John< no role >
aged two Years and upwards
for nurture was removed from the parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above the Bars
in the
County of Middlesex
aforesaid to the said parish of Saint Ann Blackfriars
as the place of
her last legal Settlement Whereby the petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved Now
upon hearing the said Appeal in the presence and hearing of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above the Bars and they
Consenting by their Concel to the allowing the said Appeal It is Ordered that the said
Appeal be and the same is hereby allowed and the said Order or pass Warrant of the said
two Justices is hereby vacated and Setaside And it is further Ordered that the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Saint Ann Blackfriars London
do forthwith Convey and deliver back the said Elizabeth Banks< no role >
and her said Bastard
Child together with a Copy of this Order unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
poor of the parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above the Bars or unto Some or one of them
who are hereby required to receive and provide for the said Elizabeth Banks< no role >
and her said
Bastard Child until they can free themselves from the charge thereof by due Course of
Law.
