On my Return Home yesterday Evening I Reced the
favor of your Letter Informing in you had Remitted me three of the
Acts of Parliament Concerning the Poor by a Mr. John Westward< no role > who
Came to you in my Name There is in this Some Mistake that I [..]
Cannot Make outI Do not Know Such a Person as John Westward
Nor did I send any Person whatever to youIf you Please to Refer to
My Letter you will find I Desired Acts of Parliament for James Townsend< no role >
Pierce Galliard< no role > James Hubbald< no role > Cadwallader Coker< no role > and Richard Hassell< no role >
EsqrsAnd the Recd. Richard Neat< no role > s Clerkof which I have Reced only for
Mess: Townsend Galliard & Hassell& one for myself so that I have
None for Mr: Hubbald Coker & Neate shoud be glad if you Can put
this Matter Right I shall Deliver the Acts to the Gentlemen but woud be
glad to have them all TogetherAnd will then Inform you Particularly
that you may be Properly Prepaired with a Return to the Clerk of the
House of Commons I have Seen Mr. Emmerton one of the High
Constables who Premises to Answer your Letter by this Post there are two
other High Constables of Edmonton Hundred but both Live Six or Seven
Miles from meBut on Any of there Occasion a Line to Mr. Draper
in the Church yard at Edmonton Will be Attended to in the Same Manner
